Polygon Puzzle is a challenging brain game that helps build attention and spatial memory.
Instructions. The objective is to recreate each "polygon" (shape) drawn by the computer. To begin the game, click the START button.
The computer will draw a shape in the small screen in the upper left corner. You have just a few seconds to memorize the shape, then you must redraw the shape on the main screen.
The game starts easy, with simple triangles. As you move through the levels, the shapes get harder. After triangles are four-sided shapes, five-sided shapes, six-sided shapes, and so on.
Draw shapes by clicking and dragging. Click the mouse where you want the first corner of the shape to be. Then drag the mouse to the location of the second corner and click again. Drag and click until all corners of the shape are drawn.
After you draw a shape, the computer grades you on how well you reproduced the shape. The grading is "A" through "F", with A meaning you reproduced the shape very well, and F not well at all.
Polygon Puzzle helps build attention, because to remember each shape you must concentrate on the length of the sides, the position of each corner, and so on. The game exercises your spatial memory in the same way.
I was never able to get past Level 4. Maybe you can do better!
Advanced Brain Training
Are you looking for a proven, scientific brain training program? If so, you might want to try Lumosity, the brain training service that I subscribe to.
I complete a quick, 10-minute Lumosity brain training session every morning. These training sessions exercise the different areas of my brain and prepare my mind for the day ahead. Over time, these sessions have sharpened my memory and other mental abilities in a significant and noticeable way.
A Lumosity brain training "session" consists of several mind-expanding brain games designed by the scientists at Lumosity and automatically selected for my individualized training program. Examples include Birdwatching, Monster Garden, Lost in Migration, and Spatial Speed Match, just to name a few.
Scientific studies show that Lumosity brain training measurably improves memory, attention, cognitive control, and processing speed. To help me track my own improvement, the "My History" section of Lumosity charts my brain's capabilities over time with easy-to-read graphs and Brain Performance Index (BPI) scores.
Lumosity is free to try. Complete one brain training session a day for two weeks, and I guarantee you'll be hooked!
