Math Mountain trains numerical reasoning and quick thinking. Solve math problems to get to the top of the mountain before your opponent does. To begin, click the Small, Medium, or Large link under the picture at left. This opens the game in a pop-up window. Wait for the game to load, then click the "Play Game" button on the right side of the game screen. |
The instructions display first. If you want to skip the instructions, click the "Skip" button.
HOW TO PLAY. Your goal in this game is to climb to the top of the mountain by answering simple math questions faster than your opponent (computer or human).
You are assigned different IQ points for answering a question correctly. You are also awarded bonus IQ points for answering a question in less than 10 seconds.
Each turn, a correct answer allows you to move up the mountain 1, 2, or 3 steps based on how hard the question was or down the mountain the same number of steps if you answered incorrectly.
Look for "Power Ups", they may help you in your climb up the mountain:
50/50 - Reduces the possible answers to two choices.
Running Man - Doubles your movement if answer is correct or incorrect.
Stop Circle - Stops the computer for 10 seconds.
Slow Man - Slows the computer for 10 seconds.
Word Bubbles - Gives you a second chance if you answer incorrectly.
CONTROLS. To answer math questions, simply click on the correct answer from those displayed on the answer panel. The number of possible answers increases as you proceed through the game.
