Play Flower Story Match:

Here's Flower Story Match, a free online match-3 game filled with colorful flowers. Swap flowers to make lines of three or more, and join the Flower Fairy on a puzzle adventure through the World of Flowers.

To begin, click the Small, Medium, or Large button under the picture of the game. This opens Flower Story Match in a pop-up window. You can resize the window if you want more room.

This game is part of my free online brain games collection. It runs in your browser, so there's no game download to install.

Free to play, with optional purchases. Flower Story Match includes advertising and offers optional in-game purchases for real money. You do not need to make a purchase to start playing.

If you enjoy flower and garden puzzles, try the Garden Tales games on this site, too.

How to Play Flower Story Match

The basic idea is to swap flowers on the board to form matching lines. Look for flowers of the same kind that you can bring together in a row or column.

Make a match. Line up at least three matching flowers. The opening tutorial introduces the controls and shows how your combinations work.

Look for longer lines. Before making the first three-flower match you see, check whether a different swap could line up four or five. Longer combinations can be more useful than a basic match.

Follow the level's instructions. Read the goal and any new explanations as they appear. Flower Story introduces different features as you move through its levels, so it helps to learn what each new element does.

Check the board again. A move changes the arrangement of the flowers. Pause after each move and look for your next opportunity instead of continuing with a plan that no longer fits.

Flower Story Match Tips

Scan the whole board. It is easy to focus on the flowers near your last move. Look at the corners and opposite side as well before deciding what to swap.

Think one move ahead. Consider which flowers will sit next to each other after your swap. A useful move may set up a stronger combination on a later turn.

Let the goal guide you. A tempting combination is not always the one that helps most with the current objective. Check what you still need before choosing your move.

Learn new features as they appear. Read the game's explanation before using an unfamiliar bonus or special item. Understanding its effect makes it easier to decide when it will help.

About Flower Story Match

The Flower Fairy and colorful flower characters in Flower Story Match

Flower Story Match gives the familiar match-3 puzzle a cheerful garden theme, with colorful flower characters and a fairy setting.

I include matching puzzles in this collection because they ask you to pay attention to visual patterns, compare possible moves, and plan what to do next. Flower Story gives you a colorful setting for those decisions.

Yes. You can play on an iPhone, iPad, or Android phone or tablet, as well as on a computer. On a phone or tablet, the play buttons may open a new browser tab instead of a separate pop-up window.
