Huge Print Sudoku Puzzle Books

Huge Print Sudoku Books

Most sudoku puzzle books cram four or more puzzles onto a page. The numbers and cell boxes are small, there's no room to jot down candidate numbers, and if your eyesight isn't perfect, the whole experience is frustrating. I created these books to fix that.

Each puzzle in the Huge Print Sudoku series takes up an entire 8.5" x 11" page. The grids are as large as I could fit on the page, with cells big enough to write comfortably in. Solutions in the back are also oversized for easy reading.

That makes these books a practical gift for anyone who enjoys puzzles, especially older adults who struggle with the tiny print in standard puzzle books. These huge-print books are also helpful for anyone with low vision, or people with hand tremors (from Parkinson's or other conditions) who need larger cells to write in. But even if your eyesight and hands are fine, having room to tag potential entries and make notes along the margins makes solving more enjoyable.

The books are available on Amazon as paperbacks. Amazon prints the book on demand and ships it directly to you.

The Books

100 Easy Sudoku Puzzles

Available on Amazon

Huge Print Sudoku: 100 Puzzles & Solutions, Easy #1

One hundred Easy-level puzzles, each on its own full page. Easy puzzles are a great starting point for anyone new to sudoku or anyone who prefers a relaxing, low-pressure solve. They're also a good fit for older adults just getting into the habit of daily puzzle solving.

If you can work through basic number elimination, you'll do well here. No advanced solving techniques required.

100 Medium Sudoku Puzzles

Huge Print Sudoku: 100 Puzzles & Solutions, Medium #1

One hundred Medium-level puzzles for solvers who want more of a challenge. Medium puzzles require a bit more patience and logical deduction than Easy. You'll need to use techniques like cross-hatching and elimination more deliberately, and you may encounter cells where the answer isn't immediately obvious.

A good choice if you've been solving Easy puzzles comfortably and want to step up a notch.

If you've picked up one of these books and enjoyed it, a brief review on Amazon helps other puzzle lovers find them. It only takes a minute and makes a real difference for a small independent publisher like me.

Why Huge Print?

Senior solving sudoku

I started this site in 2006 to help people improve their memory, and a big part of the audience has always been older adults. When I added free sudoku printables to the site, I made them one puzzle per page specifically so they'd be easy to see and work with.

The books follow the same principle. Standard puzzle books with tiny grids and cramped cells aren't just hard to read. They're hard to use. You can't annotate. You can't tag candidate numbers. And for anyone with age-related vision changes or conditions like macular degeneration, they're essentially unusable.

These books prioritize function over page count. You get 100 puzzles per book, and every one of them is actually pleasant to solve.

Sudoku and Your Brain

Sudoku exercises several cognitive skills at once: logical reasoning, pattern recognition, working memory, and concentration. It won't transform your brain on its own (no single game will), but as part of a mentally active lifestyle, regular puzzle solving helps keep those skills engaged.

For more on what the research shows about brain games and cognitive health, see the Brain Games page.
