Play:  Small | Medium | Large

Play this chess game against the computer. Chess is a wonderful activity for improving concentration, which aids memory.

To begin, click the Small, Medium, or Large link above. This opens the game in a pop-up window.

HOW TO PLAY.  To begin, click the Play button. The game loads with you as White (first move) at the bottom.

To move a piece, first click the piece you want to move. Then click the square where the piece should be moved to. Your piece will move, then the computer will take a turn.

If you don't know how to play chess, click the Rules button to see an excellent short tutorial.

ABOUT.  According to James Burton, the author of this chess game, Easy Chess is meant for chess beginners only. That means that most of us actually have a chance to win a game or two against the computer!
