Spiderman 2 - Web of Words
<< Back to Free Brain Games page

Spiderman Web of Words
Play:  Small | Medium | Large

Spiderman 2 - Web of Words trains your verbal fluency and mental processing speed. Spell words and climb buildings to help Spiderman keep the city safe from Doc Ock!

To begin, click the Small, Medium, or Large link above. This opens the game in a pop-up window.

HOW TO PLAY.  Your goal is to advance Spiderman through each level by spelling words. To begin, click the "PLAY GAME" button.

Depending on the game mode, a level is finished when Spidey reaches the top of a building or completes a head-to-head confrontation with Doc Ock.

QUICK INSTRUCTIONS. Spell words by typing or clicking on the letter tiles. When you have a word ready, click the SUBMIT button or press the ENTER key. This will send Spidey up the building.

The more words you spell, the higher Spidey climbs. But take too long to spell a word and Doc Ock will attack!

TIPS.  Typing letters and pressing the ENTER key is much faster than using the mouse. Spell longer words for a better score. Earn extra points by completing challenges in the lower left corner of the screen. Bonus tiles are earned by spellling words of 4 or more letters.

LETTER TILES. Web of Words is played by spelling words with Letter Tiles. Spell a word with 4 or more letters to earn a bonus tile.

Here are the different types of letter tiles:

  • Blue background - normal letter
  • Silver background - increases multiplier
  • Gold background - maximizes multiplier
  • "Wild" - can be used as any letter
  • Heart - heals Spiderman; press the Spacebar to use
  • Spiderman mask (Spidey Sense) - automatically spells a high-value word; press the '1' key to use

CHALLENGES. When Spiderman is climbing the building, there are challenges in the lower-left corner of the game window.

Spell words with the same number of letters as there are challenge boxes. Do this the number of times indicated (for example, "x2" means two times) and you will complete the challenge and earn a special tile.

(For even more tips, click the INSTRUCTIONS button at the top of the game.)
