Short-term memory loss from brain bleed
by Sabrina Eddington

I am a 51 year old mother of three girls and two grand boys. Two years ago I had a bleed on the brain. I was talking out loud in my sleep one morning. My husband said it was so loud it made him come to see if I was calling him. He said that I was shivering and acting a bit scary so he dialed 911.
By the time the emergency guys got here he said I was really acting normal, and they said that they could not take me because it appeared that nothing was wrong with me.
My hub refused to let it go so he called a private service who came and got me to a hospital, where they said i was bleeding on the left front side of my brain. They could not help me there, so i was put in a helicopter and flown about 100 miles to another hospital where they were able to help me.
I have no physical handicaps, but i have a short term memory problem. My memory lasts about 4 hours or so. If I take a nap in the middle of the day, when i wake up it is a new day. Never the next day, it is like way back there.
I live my life pretty much like backwards or something like that. hmmmmmmmmmmm But I still know that GOD IS GOOD (SMILE) and that my hub is still here. (SMILE)
Doug's Reply. Sabrina, I must say, I am amazed by your positive attitude. Many people with much smaller problems than yours complain long and loud to whomever will listen. But you seem to have kept a sunny disposition!
Thank you for sharing your memory problem story. I think others who have short term memory loss will find you an inspiration.
Best regards,
Douglas
