Problem with long-term memory

I have a short memory whatever i read i forget after 2 or 4 days even sometimes i am unable to remember a person name whom I met last week. This are the common phenomenon of my brain. Can you give some easy tips for make my life beautiful again? I'm looking forward to your answer.

I'm 24 years old. I am writing with an intention that you can provide me necessary support.

I'm an English language teacher, and I need to know a lot of vocabulary in order to be able to teach, speak and so on. but I have problem retrieving the words, even the words that i have learned years ago. This problem also exist when I meet my old friends. for example i work in a place for 5 years, then i left there for 6 month after that sometimes I have problem remembering some of the names and I need to think and find it. I'm about 42 and I dont exactly know what the reason might be. by the way this is not new and it happened to me from 6 or 7 years ago that i was very sensitive in memorizing words and finding the appropriate words while translating. I fell like that this problem is mostly with my long-term memory than short-term. what can I do?
