Memory for simultaneous interpretation

How can I have a good memory in order to be able to do a simultaneous interpretation?
Doug's Reply: I assume that if you are doing simultaneous interpretation you have already mastered the language you are translating. The issue then becomes how can you improve the speed at which you access that language in your mind as you translate spoken dialogue.
To me, it seems that improving your concentration may be the thing to focus on. Consider taking steps to incorporate the following in your routine:
* 15 minutes of brain games each day, morning and night, especially those that train concentration. Free games on my site that might help include 60 Second Game, Cube Field, Curveball, Escapa, Lightning Librarian, and others. Also play those that train short-term memory and working memory, such as Brain Sequencer, Simon Memory, Farm Stand Math.
* Meditate for a few minutes each morning and night to improve your concentration. Click the Mediation link on the left side of my website for more information.
* Improve the health of your body and brain. Make changes to your lifestyle as necessary for you to get enough restful sleep, exercise regularly, and eat a very healthy diet.
Make these into daily habits and I think there is a good chance you will see some improvement.
Best regards,
Douglas
