Loci Method

Hi! Thank you very much for your help! I can see things better. Now, please explain me more about using events in time for the Loci Method and creating artificial sequences. I need ideas for long routes, at least with 100 points, too. Excuse me for my endless doubts.
Congratulations for this site!
Doug's Reply: For large 100 point routes, you should probably stick with basic physical items and places. The trick will be to visualize your locations in much greater detail.
Now for a specific example. A few minutes ago I created a 108-point loci route using locations on the exterior and interior of my family's van. You can see the list here:

(Copy and paste that web address into your browser.)
Since I drive that vehicle frequently, I am very familiar with it. I can accurately visualize all the parts of the van in that list, and in order. A visual tour of my van, from front to back.
While it would be somewhat time-consuming, I could easily associate the items in a 100-point list with the locations in and on the van. With review and practice, it would be almost effortless to recall them all (as explained on the Case Study: Memorizing the 50 U.S. States page you've already read).
Your challenge is to brainstorm items or locations that you know very well. Your car, the rooms of your house, school, your yard, your neighborhood, and so on. As you go through your daily routine, pay attention to where you are and the objects you see. This should give you many more ideas for routes you can use.
Regards,
Douglas
