Graph Game
<< Back to Free Brain Games page

The Graph Game is a logic puzzle you play against the computer or against a friend.

The object is to connect to bright points on the graph. Your opponent tries to prevent you from doing this. This game is known to mathematicians as the Shannon Switching Game.

HOW TO PLAY. To begin, click the "New Game" button. The Players window appears. If you want to go first, select the "Human" radio button on the left. Type your name in the box in the upper left.

To play against the computer, type "Computer" in the box in the upper right and select the "Computer" radio button below that. To play against another person, simply select the "Human" radio button for both players.

When playing against the computer, you can make the game more or less difficult. Move the Difficulty slide bar on the Players window to the right or left to make the game easier or harder.

Click the Start Game! button to begin. You will see a green graph with two bright points on it. The goal is for the first player to connect the two bright dots that display on the graph.

The first player clicks any line to select it. The idea is to click lines that touch each other so that a continuous bright green line is created between the two bright points on the graph.

However, the other player is going to try and foil the first player's plans. The second player can click on any line that hasn't been selected by the first player yet to make that line disappear.

The first player wins by connecting the two bright points. The second player wins by preventing the first player from connecting the two points.
