Gold Miner trains visual perception, concentration, and reaction time. These brain skills are useful during any activity where quick thinking and concentration are required.

To begin, click the Small, Medium, or Large link above. This opens the game in a pop-up window. Wait for the game to load, then click the "Start Game" button in the middle of the game.

Reel up gold and other valuable items to make enough money to advance to the next level. Your timing must be just right to grab the treasure with your claw and reel. Concentrate carefully!

Gold Miner Instructions

HOW TO PLAY.  Use your "claw and reel" to mine gold and other treasures out of the earth.

Your claw swings back and forth automatically. Press the Down Arrow key on your keyboard to lower the claw. If you drop the claw in the wrong direction, press the Left Arrow key to quickly pull it back up. Press the Up Arrow key to toss dynamite.

Once the claw has grabbed something, it will reel it up. Heavy objects like rocks and large pieces of gold will be harder to reel up.

Between levels, you can buy items that can help you mine faster and more efficiently.

Collect the target money by the end of the level, or it's game over. Your money carries over from one level to the next.

If you accidentally blow up everything on a level, or you just feel like going on, click the "End Level" button. However, if you haven't met your goal the game will be over.

FOR BEST RESULTS:  Gold Miner is a lot of fun, but it is limited. To really improve your brain, join the Lumosity brain training service. I use Lumosity every day, and it works.
