Forget what I have studied

I am a 3rd year engineering student, I always forget whatever I have studied, within a very minimum span of time... I madly regret my inability to keep this in my mind...
Could you please suggest me the solution for this?
Doug's Reply. Take a look at the advice on my
Best Study Skills page. By working with your brain instead of against it, study skills help you remember more of what you study.
Important study skills you need to master include:
- Reduce interference
- Space it out
- Use "whole" and "part" learning
- Recite it
- Use a study system
Each of these skills are described in detail on that page. Beyond the study skills, you should set up a system of periodic review.
That means setting aside time to revisit material you learned a day ago, a week ago, a month ago, a year ago. Refreshing your memory in this way takes time. But remembering what you've learned is so critical it is well worth the effort.
Also consider learning the memory systems, especially the visualization-association techniques. These are extremely powerful. Memory systems can be used to memorize vast amounts of detailed information. But, like any tool, they require practice.
You might also want to take steps to improve the health of your body and especially your brain. Meditation, brain games, healthy eating, regular exercise, and restful sleep can all help improve your memory.
