Changs Cube - Free Brain Game

Yuh-Jye Changs cube is a cool Rubiks Cube emulation. On some browsers this cube is a bit unstable, but it is too neat not to include on this site. Rubiks cubes train analytical ability, concentration, and spatial visualization skills.

To begin, click the Medium link under the picture at left. This opens the game in a pop-up window.

Note: This game only works if Java is installed on your computer.

This cube may look old-school, but it's something special. Unlike with a regular Rubiks Cube, with this one you can change the number of rows on the cube

All you Rubiks Cube experts out there, that means you can try to solve a cube that has more than just 3 x 3 on each face. With this cube, you can have up to 6 x 6 (that's 36 squares) on a face, with up to 10 levels of difficulty!

HOW TO SOLVE THE RUBIK'S CUBE. For most people, solving the Rubik's Cube is a mystery. If you really want to understand how to solve it, see my How to Solve Rubiks Cube page.

Changs Cube Instructions

HOW TO PLAY. Select the Cube Rotate Mode by clicking the "Cube" button. Then use the mouse to rotate the cube.

Select the Face Rotate Mode by clicking the "Face" button. Then use the mouse to rotate the faces.

FOLLOW THESE STEPS:

1. Select the size of the puzzle by clicking the '2', '3', '4', '5', or '6' button.
2. Click the '+' or '-' button to increase or decrease the puzzle's level of difficulty.
3. Click the "Puzzle" button to randomly rotate the cube and create a puzzle.
4. Start solving the puzzle. Use your mouse to rotate the cube and the sides as described above in the General Instructions.

OTHER OPTIONS:

Click the "Original" button to return the original viewpoint.

Click the "Arrange" button to return the original cube arrangement.

Click the "Solve" button to solve the puzzle step by step.
